Acoustic Guitar Magazine rated The Getaway as one of their Top 50 Roadside Attractions in the U.S.A.   If you ever wanted to listen to, talk with, learn from, and see up close and personal some of the great musicians you’ve seen on stage, this is your chance.

Featured performers include blues and ragtime guitar legend and storyteller extraordinaire Roy Book Binder, folk rock power duo and purveyors of ukulele love Pete and Maura Kennedy, the explosive take-no-prisoners Celtic band Burning Bridget Cleary, the exquisite guitar and mind-blowing fiddle team of Harvey Reid & Joyce Andersen, the elegant backwoods harmonies of the downhome Honey Dewdrops, the joyful sing-along fun of choirmaster and song leader Nick Page, the superb vocals and songwriting of Project favorite Chrissy Roberts, and the ultimate purveyor of class and sass with a 20’s and 30’s sensibility Betsy Rose & The Chicago Fire.

We're back! Two sets each day! Woot!

Kick off summer in the beautiful Pocono Mountains with the sights and sounds of the Emerald Isles and Scottish Highlands! Join us Memorial Day weekend for non-stop Celtic music on two stages, a bagpipers’ parade and Celtic jam, working sheep dogs, Irish step dancers, and a variety of Celtic craft and food vendors.

Kirk McLeod from the band Seven Nations has launched the KIR Project. The KIR Project was created to bring certain aspects of the Celtic community together in a fully integrated show. The show will feature local pipe bands, drummers and dance organizations performing on one stage. Come celebrate our heritage and traditions through music and dance.

Don't forget about the kids! There will be a Celtic Wizard magic show, leprechaun juggling show, face painting and a Celtic Farm animal petting zoo.

Celtic Festival vendors will serve up Irish themed food including Bangers and Mash, Jameson’s beef on weck, fish and chips, Celtic Corned Beef Wraps and the delicious Ca-Rollin food truck featuring authentic Irish eats like Shepherd’s Pie, beer battered fish and chips, Ulster Fry in a hoagie, Donegal shrimp salad and more. Ca-Rollin and Chef Rob Catering were crowd favorites at the Pocono Food Truck Festival last season and we are excited to have them back for the Shawnee Celtic Festival.

Join us for a weekend of family fun & entertainment in the Pocono Mountains!

Also, the dynamic duo, Gerry Timlin and Tom Kane will be in attendance.  Did you know that they performed for President Obama and the Irish Prime Minister, Enda Kenny on St. Patrick's Day this year?  We are honored to know them!

From our friends at "Bucks for Beaches":

"Most of us have played on the Jersey Shore as kids, many of us have vacationed there with own kids and some of us even have homes in spots on the Jersey Shore.

Hurricane Sandy, as we all know, hit really hard all the way up the shore line. It is no longer front page news, but that does not mean it is all better and the grief and hardships over for the people who live there.

We have a chance to change some of the despair in their eyes back to the smiles and giggles we are accustomed to hearing on the beaches. New Jersey Hometown Heroes is helping families with things not covered by insurance and so many daily needs we don't think about.

$25 Tickets allow you to enjoy a lunch buffet, glass of wine or beer, entertainment:

Turner Adams, Lisabeth Weber, Burning Bridget Cleary, Will Rhodin, Council Rock High School North Music Dept) and an afternoon of fun with friends"!

Checks are made payable to :  New Jersey Hometown Heroes (Sandy Relief in memo line)

100% proceeds from this fun afternoon will help to rebuild lives at our Beloved Beaches of New Jersey.

Benefit Concert for the preservation of St. Malachy Parish Church.  On a high hill of Doe Run Valley, St. Malachy Church is visible for miles around. Its establishment in the 18th century in this remote area of Chester County is an indication of early Irish Catholic settlement, a rarity in Penn's original counties.

This concert will also feature some beautiful hammer dulcimer music by the duo, "From the Well". Come on out for a festive holiday treat!

The church is in a very rural area of Chester County, PA.  It is listed on the web under varying addresses, so plan your Sunday afternoon drive ahead of time.  We found it on our GPS using this address: 76 St. Malachy Rd., Cochranville, PA  19330.

We're back in the beautiful Poconos for Labor Day Sunday! The Shawnee Mountain Celtic Fest introduced us to lots of new friends, so we hope you can all come out and celebrate the changing of the seasons with us! Siamsa (SHEEM-sa) is a Gaelic word that describes the delight of an impromptu evening of musical merrymaking with friends. That says it all, folks! Come join in the fun!

Wow! We're so pleased to announce that BBC has been asked back for a return engagement, thanks to all our friends who showed up for our St. Paddy's show! If you missed it, you missed a great time at the ultimate venue, (this place is swanky and down home at the same time - killer steamed shrimp dumplings), but don't fret!! We hear that summer Saturday evenings here are super hot because they open up their outdoor courtyard. Bonus! We're honored that our friend, the fantastic "peace through music" man, Mike Brill (http://www.mikebrill.com), has agreed to play an opening set! It's two great shows for the price of one . . . so, plan to get your tickets early, as this one will surely be a sell out!
